Manufacturing of Amber

Although amber is considered a gem, it is still a wholly-organic material derived from resin of extinct or rare species of trees. Amber is extracted in various ways depending on the location where it is prominent but the largest deposits are found in the Baltic Sea. The manufacturing process involves mining and washing, clarifying and colouring, cutting and reshaping, polishing, and pressing. There are other significant processes that reserve the rest to produce a high grade varnish, amber oil, and ingredients for medicine. Normally, the use of amber is popular as accessory materials and decorative.
